Catalog Description: Systems of linear equations, matrices, inverses, determinants, vectors in 2-space and 3-space, real vector spaces, subspaces, linear independence, basis and dimension, row space, rank and nullity, inner product spaces, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, diagonalization, basics of complex numbers, complex power series, Taylor series, Laurent series,  potential theory.

Textbook: Elementary Linear Algebra, H. Anton, C. Rorres, 8^th ed., Wiley
Advanced Engineering Mathematics, D.G. Zill, M.R. Cullen, 3^rd ed., Jones and Bartlett

Evaluation Criteria: Two midterm examinations (25 % each) and a final (50%)
